Clay county animal rescue is a private rescue. It was started to help save animals for abused. They can
and will aid in the prosecution of anyone who violates the laws of the state. They not only work in their county but also
owen county. I met them through a friend that was helping save abused horses. I fell in love with a 2 year old filly I named
Fancy. She had been abused and also starved. I felt so sorry for her. I started feeding her and trying to get her to let me
pet her she was afraid everytime I reached out my hand that I was going to hit her. At the start she did not know what a apple
was or a carrot. With time and love she came around to trust me. I adoped her and very happy I did. She was not broke to ride,
she had never been groomed before I started working with her. I have some pictures I would like to show you of her before
and after I got her. And I want to say that she is just one of the many horses they have rescued. Many of the horses are in
much worse shape them Fancy. People should know what is going on in their own county and report any abuse of any animal
if we do not help them who will?
